The poor girl in that ad needs lessons in good posture as well as one of these. But then again, she looks like she doesn't give a sh*t.

Live women to fill dead air

Notice the lovely symmetry of her...eyes...the contrast between her soft, warm hands, and the hard, cold steel of the socket wrench she grasps almost as a pool cue--almost as if she knows how to use it. Admire the lovely lines of the classic beauty--the young lady has nice lines, too, but unfortunately, she appears to get out less frequently than the machine behind her. She could use a little colour in her cheeks (all of them)--perhaps candy apple red?

I'm a sucker for a pretty face

I was watching Boston Legal when I was practically knocked out of my socks by a stunning actress who was a guest star. I was so taken by her, I had to find out who she was and why I had never noticed her before. She wasn't a young starlet, so I figured she must have appeared here and there. That I hadn't noticed her before troubled me.

After a little digging, I found out who she was. It turns out I had seen her before. I looked for photos of her, but damned, if I could find any of her that resemble her look on that show. There was maybe one that resembled her slightly, but most of the others didn't do her justice. The makeup crew deserves an award for the beauty they created that day. Fire engine red lipstick completed the hot look. Before I bore you to death with any more trivia and at the risk of building her up too much, here is Gail O'Grady...

I found a few more nice photos of Gail. If you'd like to see them, click here.

A lesson in photography

I'm a big fan of good photography and this is an example of excellent work. Notice the exquisite use of lighting; the contrasting colours; the breeze through the hair. The stark background with straight lines accentuate the curves of the subject in the foreground. The hard and jagged wall gives truth to the softness and smoothness before it.

Okay, I really posted this because she's so damn hott...and because of the great airbrush job...sorta. That and the fact she was staring at me from the page where I got the subject of my previous post. By the way, her name is Lucy Pinder.

Q & A's from around the web

If you're in your car stopped in traffic, and look over and find a girl staring at you, and then when you look at her, she smiles, does that mean she wants you?

Yeah, she does. And $80.

The serious business of developing a music video

Barbie is a dear friend who sometimes helps me with graphic work and or advice when I'm working on a music video. You can view them at www.videosbyvinny.blogspot.com Anyway, the following collaborative exchange occurred on an instant messenger about my then current project Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison:

Barbie I'm going to watch it now.
Barbie great!!
Barbie one thing bothers me though
Vinny what?
Barbie the close up of the girl when it says brown eyed girl
Barbie her eyes are shut
Barbie or looking down
Barbie can't see brown eyes
Vinny You're right.
Vinny That would be much better.
Barbie the song is about brown eyes
Vinny You think we could doc the pic?
Barbie maybe
Barbie send me the pic i'll try
Vinny sends girl1.jpg
Barbie my eyes are not looking good at all
Barbie sends vinny girl1b.jpg
Vinny She doesn't look like she's looking at the flower.
Vinny Maybe I can change the title to "Cross-eyed Girl".
Barbie hhahaahaa

Unfortunately, you cannot view my Brown Eyed Girl music video because the rights holder asked me to take it down. It was easily my best and most popular music video to date. I had it on YouTube for about a week before they shut it down. In that time, it received over 14,000 views.

Lyin' Eyes

I knew the girl featured in my Lyin' Eyes music video reminded me of someone and now I know who. A blast from the past that went into oblivion. A girl who had touched a soft spot in my heart. And most ironically, she, like the girl in the video, married a man very much her senior. Pia Zadora married in the lyrics of the Eagles tune "a rich old man" of 55 when she was just the tender age of 23. You be the judge. Do they look alike?

I get the distinct feeling that you and your girlfriend should be playing with dolls, not boys.
