This blog is a hodge podge of anything I happen to feel like writing or sharing. Enzo is short for Vincenzo, my birth name. Feel free to comment if you're so inclined. Or even if you're not leaning.

Is it something in the water?
C&P from a comment in a current Toronto newspaper article:
Two years ago when a US border guard threatened to deny us access to Port Huron AND fine us some $350.00, for attempting to "smuggle" an orange that we'd forgotten was in a lunch pail in the trunk of our car...
When I tried to explain to him that the orange probably came from Florida in the first place, and that it was not like we were trying to bring-in a Canadian grown apple, or anything like that, what he fired back at me---quite serious, and resolute---absolutely shocked & awed both of us in the car...
"SIR, WE DON'T CARE ABOUT APPLES, BUT THIS HERE ORANGE IS A DIRECT THREAT TO THE SECURITY OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!"

Distrust of government
Ever wonder how much distrust people have of their government? Now, you know. I found quite a few surprises. The survey was conducted by a legitimate research firm...trust me.

Pretty to watch
Even prettier...
I bought this stock about a week ago at $7.33. As of this moment, it is just below $12.00. This kind of opportunity rarely comes along. Read about it here.

It's on fire!
On this, the 4th trading day since I bought ONVO at $7.33, seconds ago it was trading over $9 a share. That's up over 23% in less than four days. Get it while it's hot!

Talk about playing to a tough crowd
If there was any question about whether Chicago hockey fans are a lunch pail crowd, such doubt was dispelled last night during a game in the Windy City with the visiting Winnipeg Jets.
With Chicago on its way to a 4-1 victory late in the game, Jets defenceman, Adam Pardy found himself digging a puck out of his own corner when Hawks forward Brandon Bollig rode him into the boards. A pane of glass was dislodged and Pardy went half way over the boards with it.
At that point, the Jets player appeared to try to keep the glass from falling onto spectators. What did he get for his trouble? As a melee ensued behind him, pinning him in his precarious position, a young guy in the crowd reached down and yanked his helmet off. You can see his arm reaching down in this shot.
Not to be outdone, the man's companion, a young "lady", decided she had a better purpose for her beer than drinking it, and doused the Winnipeg player's head with it. In the meantime, her (boy)friend had already donned the player's bonnet, much to the delight of the partisan crowd.

Don't miss this great opportunity!
Yeah, I know--that sounded like the start of a cheesy commercial. This is anything but. I am very sincere about the following...
The 3-D printing industry is revolutionizing manufacturing. It is still in its infancy, and much is not known about it such as who the big winners are going to be and the extent to which this process can be used. Nonetheless, this is the ground floor and you want to get in the elevator now, before it reaches the 50th floor. It would have been nice to get in at the basement, say a year ago or so, but it's definitely not too late. Here's a bunch of industry players and what their stocks have done in the last year.
I did a little research yesterday and bought ONVO. This company has virtually no competition. Whereas most 3-D printers are used to produce everyday products like small household items made of plastic, Organovo prints functional human tissue. They have had success producing liver tissue and have plans to print heart and kidney cells, and in the future, making usable human body parts. They have relationships with a couple pharma giants, Pfizer and Roche, so they are well-positioned to explode.
I bought yesterday at $7.33. I wish I had bought the day before at $6.65, but still, at this moment, it is $8.00, up 8.6% from yesterday's close. You don't have to buy ONVO, just buy something. Do your own research and get on the band wagon before another great opportunity passes you by.

Donald Duck with a really bad hangover?
That's Peter Burns. Yes, Peter, not Petra or Petronella. He is the former frontman of Dead or Alive. The poor guy survived a botched lip job that got infected and almost killed him. It then took over 100 more surgeries to fix it.

What the heck--
Seen any funny or bizarre images on Google Maps? I, personally, have found two friends/relatives puttering about in front of their homes. While that was mildly amusing and a little surprising, you're not going to believe some of the shots captured by Google's candid camera.

Fastest convertibles on the planet
If you like convertibles, especially fast ones, here's a treat for you...(and as always, click on any image to enlarge)
Right off the bat, fast as a bat out of hell, is the very fastest convertible in the world. It's so fast, it's name is literally "speed"(in French)--The Bugatti 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse.
McLaren MP4 12C Spyder. Looks like it's tearing down the road at 300 km/h, even when it's not moving at all.
2013 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT. Okay, so no gullwing doors. But this one's a convertible!
2014 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible, at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show on March 5, 2013
1957 Chevrolet Corvette. If the newest one isn't quite your speed, how about a classic?
A Porsche 918 Spyder concept. Unveiled as three years ago in Geneva, you won't be able to get your hands on a 918 until the end of this year. But with a 4.6L V8 putting out 580 horsepower, combined with two electric motors turning out an additional 240 hp, you can bet it'll be worth the wait.
Replica of James Dean's 1955 Porsche "Beck" Spyder.
Pagani Zonda. "Wicked" is the first word that comes to mind.
Lamborghini Aventador J. This is probably my favourite. It just spews sex appeal. No, ladies--the Italian gentleman is not part of the standard equipment.
Ferrari 599 SA APERTA
Lamborghini Gallardo LP-560 4 Spyder at the 83rd Geneva International Motor Show, March 5, 2013. Sleek lines make for a delicious, aerodynamic look. Same with the car.
The 2010 Tesla Roadster sport. Very different look. I don't know if I like it, but it is different.
BMW i8 Spyder Concept. As soon as I saw this one, I thought it looks like a toy car. Then, I looked at the name. It is a toy.
Lamborghini Reventon. Say it with me on 3. One, two, three...Transformer!
